Are the Soundworks FPS2000's worth the $100?

I can get a set for $100 shipped are they really worth that much? Does anyone have a set and could give me some thought on the system? I know the 2500's are better but I don't have that kinda money to spend on a speaker system. I had some Altec Lansing ACS54's before are they better than those? Also does the retail set come with the digital out cable?

Thanks

Definitely. I also use to own the acs54's and these blow them away. Crisp highs deep bass plenty of volume. Sounds great w/ Mp3's or games. I've owned several sets of speakers over the last few years and these are unparalled for this price range.

I say get the acs56 speakers. I spent over a week contemplating about the two speakers. I have a friend that has the fps2000s and they sound similar, but the only difference is that the acs56 set has MUCH more power! The subs are incomparable. And, I bought my acs 56 speakers for 87 total. So that really beat the 120 price tag of the fps 2000s.

Hmmm now you got me wondering. I am chooseing between the 2 but I would like to have the FPS2000's because it has digital in. Does the ACS56's have digital in or are they setup alot like the ACS54's?

alright, i got the fps 2000, have had em for 8 months, i can crank every setting on my system and the speakers and not get a scritch, or i forget the term for over powering a speaker, the directional audio is spectacular, and i can shake pretty much my entire house with em, (my house aint shabby i have the sub aimed at an acoustically tuned interior wall (aka the partition 'tween my office and the laundry room) and it rattles up to the rest of the house, when i want to, but at decent levels, with nice mp3s or dvd's the sound is crisp as live audio right from a bands amp. or the squeel from a pretty girls ahhh nvr mnd
