Are the Skylake era motherboards going to have nvlink slots?

I was planning on upgrading for Skylake but now I'm wondering if I need to hold off for a new set of motherboards.

I don't see why or how, considering how Intel controls the chipsets for the Intel mainstream CPU platforms, and they are trying to kill off Nvidia.

amd does gpu interconnect through pci express and now nvidia wants another proprietary piece of hardware to sell?

they haven't got the memo that no one cares have they?

Certainly not. Its only supported on future POWER series.

And its a 2016/2017 tech for selected (HPC?) cards. While Skylake launches in august.

For gamers, Nvlink offers absolutely nothing.
