Native Americans are anyone born in America. PS- I'm Osage Indian.

Hmm, interesting view. I just wonder when people say that they(Native Americans) didn't immigrate.

israeli was there first, palentinians lived there for 2000 years, who is really natives in Israel now? 😕

Funny, I often draw a parallel between Israelis and Americans in that aspect. Maybe that?s why our relationship is so strong.

because people subconsciouly believe that western society is the end all/be all. sort of like how north and south america were "discovered" by europeans and the same way we will "discover" the rest of the universe. the proper name for the concept escapes me but it's basically self-centered thinking on a really large scale.

They emigrated over the ice bridge through Alaska I thought.

Yep, they crossed the Bering Straight from Syberia into Alaska about 10,000 years ago and then spread throughout the Americas.

I'd love to sound in on the Palestinian/Indian argument, but I've done that countless times already in P&N, and it will just turn into a flamefest.

There were people already there while the Isralei's were a warfare loving nomadic people

Then there is kennewick man so who really knows WHO was here first.

(though as far as I'm concerned the Europeans STILL stole the whole country from "The Natives", breaking EVERY treaty ever signed in the process.)

BTW: Did you know the Mauri of New Zealand weren't native to New Zealand either? The invaded and killed off all the people that were there when they showed up. (The government still pays them though...)
