are the hitman games fun?

i think they're fun. i want to play the latest one though...looks sweet.

i always enjoy stealth games (splinter cell, metal gear solid, etc).
 
I really enjoyed the first one. Multiple ways to complete missions actually worked for once. Running and gunning wasn't always the best solution. If I can catch the new one on sale, will pick it up.
 
They are fun, but you make them fun.

You can either go shooting your way to victory, or do it stealthy. Depends on which one you like, but you get more out of the game doing it the stealthy way.
 
Yeh they're fun.

It's oddly entertaining stalking guards for a few minutes, making sure you know what EVERYONE does, then, one at a time, choking them to death and hiding their bodies.

The Hitman series start out great but as you progress in the game it tends to deterioirate into Rambo style shoot everything gameplay. (Have not tried the lastest one yet though)

Probably the best Hitman mission is the one with the Hotel where the target is in a shower. Several was to complete the mission and it is grossly immersive- loads of fun!

 
i played the demo of Hitman: Blood Money (the newest one) this weekend. was pretty cool, but felt exactly like Splinter Cell, only easier.
 
What one do you guys think is the best?

I had a lot of fun with the first one (Codename 47 maybe?) and only played the demo to one of the other ones. Should I check out the newest one or stick to one of the older ones?
 
I played the first two games. Second one was nice. I remember some of the missions seemed virtually impossible on the first one. Very high on the frustration-meter. Everything had to be perfect and precise - and I'm talking about the first few levels of the game!

But I'm hearing good things about the latest one. I would say they are fun, but not in the over-the-top run-n-gun style of most action games.
 
I really enjoyed them. I just finished the last one this weekend and enjoyed almost every minute of it. The last mission was a little over the top imho.

Playing through Blood Money right now, and I would recommend it.

Definetly has replay value because of the many different ways to complete each mission.

Good stuff.
 
The Russian missions in the first Hitman sucked and the third one was pretty unoriginal, but the series as a whole is quite good. The second one especially is one of the greatest games ever made.
 
None of the Hitman games have held my attention ... just found them all really dull. Much preferred the Thief series 😉
 
hitman was terrible but fan but terrible
hitman 2 was awesome but had few level that weren't awesome
hitman 3 was bloody , had really shocking awesome scense was cool
hitman 4 is the best one in the series
 
Sweet. I'll probably just get the newest demo and if I get into it, I could pick up Hitman 2 for real cheap and if I still like it after that I could get the newest one.

THey are a little hard to get into, but I did have quite a blast with the first one even (bugs and everything) trying all these different ways of doing the missions, plus I'd imagine the AI is quite a bit improved since the first one which is almos tthe most important part of the game.
 
yup, i have to say that hitman 2 was really fun. i never finished it though cause my comp crapped out. maybe i'll pick up the new one on sale

:thumbsup: Hitman 3 was good too, but had a lot of missions from the 1st Hitman in it. Eh get em all, the first three are cheap anyways...9.99 at Fry's or Walmart. I picked up Hitman 2 at CompUSA for 4.99
 
I've only played Hitman:Contracts (3 I think?)on the PS2 and Blood Money on the PC. I had loads of fun on Contracts. One of the few games(especially of that kinda genre) that I went back to a lot.

I only got Blood Money day before yesterday, have done the first bunch of missions (on the 5th) and they've been fun so far. At the moment though, it's a bit frustrating that you can buy all of these upgrades for your weapons, but you rarely need a gun (last mission, didn't even bother taking any guns in, didn't fire a thing)

I'll definately be playing back through them though, even if just to use machine guns a lot. And the ol' first person. heh. It's also satisfying once you know a mission. Man you can just walk right through it 😀
