Are the gigabyte GA 965p - DS3 and GA 965p S3 the same now?

I just read a post by someone here on anandtech that the newest versions of the DS3 and S3 are the exactly the same now. He said that the both use all solid caps. Can anyone confirm this? There's no reason to spend an extra 20 dollars if both boards have the same all solid caps.

thanks in advance,

thats what I was wondering; What is the difference between the 2? I do know that there is a new rev 3.3 out for the DS3, but may be one for the S3 as well not sure.

The bios firmwares are kept separate, so there must be some reason that Gigabyte does so.

I just read a review stating that the s3 has the dram disabled or part of the dram settings.

probably best to just get the DS3; wonder if the rev3.3 will improve anything or if it just adds full support for 1333fsb

What do you mean the dram is disabled? It seems like people get equal overclocks on either one of these boards, as far as that aspect goes.
It's DS3 if you want to be safe, but if someone can confirm that they both have solid caps now, i'd like to save 20 dollars and put it toward a HSF. :)
