Are the 8800 HL2/CSS driver issues sorted yet?

Well, when I bought my 8800 GTS, drivers at the time messed up HDR/fog in HL" Episode 1 and CSS. Just wanted to know if these issues had been sorted.
I'm reluctant to try the drivers myself without knowing first as I tested some other newer drivers and my new Sharp 1080p LCD was being picked up by them.
So I reverted back to old drivers.

If the new drivers sort CSS issues though, I'll switch to new drivers despite whether I can get 1080p on my new TV off the PC or not.

Still working on it...

It's a new architechture, Ubi's also having problem with their games. Give Ubi/Valve/Nvidia time to solve them, it's unlike anything they've ever seen or really utilized before. ;)

Since when did the 93.71 support the 8800 series?

And I don't see any issues with my 97.44 driver (XG version)

Are you sure?
On Dust_2 on CSS, does the fog not cloud everything in the distance and just suddenly appear rather then blend smoothly in to the background?

Well I said "think". I am using the first revision of the driver which I thought was 93.71.

I havent seen that issue yet. Ill check tonight to see which driver version I am using. Thought it was 93.71 but that may not be right.

The most important driver issue happens when you have 97.44 and you install nTune for the temp monitoring. When you do this, you lose all access to the control panel. Rollbacks and re-installs have done nothing to fix it-- I still have no access to the control panel so I can play with all the fancy settings. It sucks big time.

For me the CSS issue is a huge one.
Seeing as how I'm in a proper clan and everything.

I'm their main AWP'er and I can't AWP crap all on dust_2 if I can't see in to the distance :(

Thats why you don't install ntune.

Rivatuner can do everything ntune adds and more :p

If you can't mess with the settings, just use Rivatuner+nhancer.

Wait.. that's not the same issue I have.

Things are gray in the distant, but it's not a gray wall. Rather, the textures themselves turn gray so objects and characters are difficult to see.

click on start, run, type "c:\windows\System32\restore\rstrui.exe"
and select a date prior to your 97.44 installation.( if that dosn't help, select a date prior to your videocard installation).
