Are Stanley tools generally any good?

Snap-on makes sense if your tools are your living. The guy who changes his oil and brake pads in his driveway has ZERO need for them.

I'm no snap-on fan, I've never owned any Snap-on tools. All my tools are craftsman. Then again, the most demanding work I do is on my bike, which has been sitting idle for the last year.

Craftsman is great for me.

I know a guy who has returned craftsman chalklines because they ran out of chalk...

Their return policy is awesome. It's as good as LL Bean.
