I would say yes. If you're fat, that could mean you are lazy.

If you are lazy, you are may not do well in school, or, do just the bare minimum to graduate or get an average grade. Therefore, your education is poor, and you are stupid.

I am trying not to over-generalize here, but, hopefully you can understand where I'm coming from.

If fat people were smart they wouldn't be fat, so no, fat people aren't smart.

edit: tbh, it's even a stretch to refer to them as people.

I'm skinny and I'm a genius.

My physics professor weighs about 600-700 pounds (D:) and he's got a PhD so he's probably pretty smart. I'm not sure there's a correlation.

TridenT is skinny and dumb, therefore skinny people aren't always smart.

The Nutty Professor was fat and smart, therefore fat people aren't always dumb.

Your theory is flawed though.
TridenT is a fictional character.

Excessive adipose tissue mounts a substantial glucose sink that otherwise would be used by the brain for cognitive functions

See the obesity and education rankings in the south for a bit of an idea.

Of course there's the third prong of demographics known as poverty or near poverty that plays a huge factor in that.

I think this poll is more likely to answer one question. Are people on Anandtech more willing to admit to being fat or more willing to admit to being stupid. My education, career, and IQ tests lead me to consider myself smart. My 255 lbs of weight force me to admit I'm getting a bit fat.

What about fat people who used to be skinny? Do you get dumberer as the weight goes on? If you lose the weight do you get smarterer?

while being fat doesn't mean you are stupid, just like being not-fat doesn't make you smart, I'd say the average intelligence of fat people, overall, is lower.

My theory is that fat people fall into a certain number of categories.

A) Stupid
B) Small penis
C) Poor(usually combined with one of the above, directly related)

D) Other

Hah, what a dumb poll. If you ask people if they are better than average at something, 95% will say they are better than average :p I forgot what kind of bias it's called..
