I've run across Wing's music online before, as a joke. I didn't put 2 and 2 together (didn't remember her name) until nearly the end of the episode, but she is for real and sells stuff through her website.

I wouldn't say they made fun of her, other than the part where Stan said she needs a lot of help getting her career off the ground, I've seen links to her that are a lot more disparaging. I thought including her in the story was more of an excuse to drop a semi-obscure reference and see how many people caught it.

Guys, she does remakes of english classics, and by remakes I mean she just replaces the original singer.

I'm korean, I listen to *plenty* of asian music, and she sounds like sh*t.
