Are siamese cats harder to take care of

I always liked siamese cats... they just look sweet. Anyone have one?
I always wondered if they are any harder to take care of compared to regular cats.

I don't think so unless I'm forgetting something. Why would they be harder? They should be easier since they're smart. And no long fur to deal with. As long as you don't mind their loud voice. They can be very talkative.
You might want to also look into Tonkinese (Siamese + Burmese). I plan to get a Tonk.

A friend has a couple of them... I don't think he does anything special. Although he did get them neutered because they apparently make a lot of noise when in heat.

Seems like maybe the males might be prone to urinary tract infections.(?) So if you get one be sure to feed it good food, like Science Diet.
Some people make their own food for their cats.
