Are shootings common in your town?

Over here, we get about 3-4 daily that show up on the news. There are probably more that I don't know about. I live in Los Angeles btw.

It just happens so often, I think I got desensitized about people dying on the streets daily.

Lots of shootings in Reading.

I go running at night in West Philly and have never seen a shooting.

n'uff said....

Yup. We have a shooting everyday here in Corvallis, OR.

j/k.

I don't think I've ever heard of a shooting here. Not that it doesn't happen, but it certainly isn't prevelant.

Good ol Fresno California...... I live on the nicer side of town and I work in a supermarket pharmacy. Just the other day one of the people that work as a grocery clerk, went to another store on the other side of town to fill in..... needless to say there was a shootout in front of the store while she was working.

Why is everyone so angry all the time? I'm losing faith in society.....

Nah, the last major killing spree was back in 89, when some guy decided to go to the center of town with a Mini-14. Only single murders, suicides, or drug-related shootings here.

uh, no, not at all.

In a farm town of 4,000 people a shooting would be in the news for months on end. Like I was just telling Deeko, the biggest problem we have around here is a tractor driving down the middle of the road during rush hour. Seriously, it's pretty lame.

Hell, just last week there was an article in the newspaper about the types of flowers going in the pots around town.

Sounds like our paper here. I tried to do real news at our radio station, but people wanted to hear about their friends getting together for bean dinners rather than abducted college students.

Lame.

Less than a handfull a year probably where I live, Fairbanks, Alaska. Though there are quite a few people who kill themselves or others accidently. Matter of fact, a middle schooler shot one of his friends on accident earlier this week. Everyone is almost in shock. WTF, do you expect is going to happen when you let kids have access to guns? Perhaps, there are a few parents who actually training their kids on the proper way to handle a weapon, but most don't.
