How much does ncq support everyday performance? I'm getting a mobo that doesn't support it. Should I be concerned about it?

Would people ignore the interface already? Look at the HARD DRIVE. Trust that no company is going to limit their drive due to a limited interface. Sheesh.

What in the world are you talking about.

gggplaya i HIGHLY doubt that statement is true unless your old HDD, was 5400RPM, could only run in PIO mode, and had 2mb cache.

I used small words for you.

Personally I am going SATA with my new HDs. I *hatE* the messy IDE cables, i just like the clean SATA ones.

I've had so many problems lately using Sata and ATA drives together. If I was You I would just go look for a good ATA drive. 7200 rpm.... Good luck

Yea, I was wondering about that. I have 2 IDE Drives on 1 channel and plan on using a SATA drive/dvd writer on the other channel. Will it cause problems?

What kind of problems? I run 2 SATA HDs and 4 ATA drives and have no problems. I also have an IDE DVD/CDRw drive and an IDE DVD burner. No issues at all.
