Are Sata cable shielded ?

Hey Guys, I want to know if Sata Cables are shielded, I came across an article that said they are not shielded.

Thanks In Advance

Probably depends on the sata cable. Most are not shielded but I have seen some that are. They cost extra though, and I've never had a problem with the non shielded ones that came bundled with mobos. I don't really see why they would need to be shielded, nothing else inside the case is.

I believe SATA is differential. So, it does not need to be shielded. It doesn't hurt to shield it. But, I don't think it provides any considerable advantage.

No, they are not shielded. Only eSATA cables are shielding.
However, you can find aftermarket sata cables that are aslo shielded.
