are samsung monitors any good? are they reliable?
saw a 17" samsung at fry's for 149 after rebate. It looks kool and wanted to buy it but didn't know if they are reliable.

also, are envision monitors any good?

Don't know if you remember OnVia.com. Back when it was retailing for about $350 US, I was looking for something to replace my 15" monitor. I checked OnVia's Canadian site and it had it listed for $350 CDN. I thought they made a mistake (which they probably did) and ordered it. When I checked their site the day after, it was listed for $550. Woohoo, I thought. But the $350 never got charged to my CC. 🙂
 
I use a 700IFT (17") and I reccommend it and any other DynaFlat monitor. They generally get very good press.
 
955DF monitor guy here. Good stuff. I clean it daily/hourly/whenever something MIGHT be smudging.

the picture looks great...I have it set at 1024x768.....the text looks awefully big initially, but now, I am in love with this setting...not going to up my resolution.

I have a 753df, its great!

Currently using an Envision 7100e flat panel, and god I love it soooooo much. But dunno how its regular line is. Definitely would go with a samsung.

i have the 700NF too. I just got it. Im still playing with the settings. hopefuly when my GF4 gets here i can get more out of it. realy looks better at 1600x1200 but my VC doesnt have a good enough ramdac to get the refresh rate at 85Hz at that rez.

anyone got sugestions for geting it adjusted properly? there are a ton of settings to mess with.

overall im happy with it. beats the crap outa that envision it replaced.

 
I have the SyncMaster 900IFT and my only compalint is it is way too bright. Other than that I love it.
 
I've had my 950p for about 3 years now and it's been great. Good colors, contrast, clarity, etc...

I use to use a 753df at work. Samsung's own.
