Are publicists just as bad as lawyers?

Ok, maybe publicists don't screw you over as much as lawyers. But I get the same vibe from both of them like everything that comes out of their mouth is total BS. Mostly concerning pro athletes and celebrities. I really think they are evil people. Don't ya think?

Well... can you imagine the world without lawyers? (people holding hands w/ rainbow in background, rejoycing - damn Simpsons!)

Anyways, I think lawyers are a necessity in our society today - and no matter how bad they may be represented to today's audience, they are merely paid for doing their job. It makes a living =)

There would be no means of compromise without a lawyer... if I wanted to sue you, I'd need a lawyer... w/o one how would we ever solve our problems? By ourselves - ha, our lack of skill towards the law would just lead us to more trouble!

Lawyers actually help the situation more than they make it worse... so they aren't too bad...

I don't know about a publicist though, they're basically doing their job too - they want to promote something so that the object/person that they are promoting would get a better vibe and better perks somewhere along the line. I don't necessarily think they would straight out, 100 percent BS the crap out of you.. but they would sugar coat things to make them sound just a bit better than they are...

These people aren't evil - they just want to make money (wait a minute, maybe that last argument wasn't too strong, GG) =(
