Are pistachios the most delicious nut?

honestly ...

i'll take a good, honest peanut over any of these modern nonsense.

Sure, one macadamia nut is great once in a while, but if you eat like 3 in a row they start to taste horrible. Same goes for brazil nuts. Pistachio can be lovely but it annoys me that you get so many different flavors in the same bag, and some are downright nasty.

Make sure you look at what you opened up in the shell before you put it in your mouth. I had to learn the hard way with a weird tasting one. D:

Cashews for just eating on their own, walnuts and almonds in a recipe. Pistachios are my least favorite.

The best are the ones with the racist nickname. Something about toes.

Oh my do I laugh hard when my wife's grandmother uses that term. I also encourage her to because of the hilarity...I'm like "What do you call Brazil nuts again"?

I had never even heard of that term until I was in my thirties.

I've never heard that term before today, and I'm in my 40s and lived in the South all my life.

Grew up calling them that. Only name I knew them by until I was in my early teens

I love cashews for just munching.

Peanuts are actually legumes, not nuts. Still like them, though. Lightly salted with a nice cold beer. Mmmmmmmm, beer.

Cashews for me. If have no problem snacking through an entire one of those small tin containers (about 1700 calories) once I start.

Everyone stop it with the "X aren't nuts" thing. Nothing any of you mentioned is a nut if you're talking the technical botantical definition. It's really just hazelnuts and chestnuts out of things people normally eat, unless you eat acorns. Everything else is another kind of seed or something. But we call them nuts anyway because we aren't botanists.

Ok, rant over. 😛

Anyway, peanuts are the best for just snacking IMO. I do love cashews but usually can't eat too many at once. I like pecans too though more for baking than just eating.

Pistachios are amazing. Cashews are ok, but a little too mushy to be the best.

I've never liked pistachios...not the natural ones, not the dyed ones...

Cashews for munching, almonds, walnuts, and macs for baking...peanuts (yes, I know, NOT a nut) for snacking.

lol, i know exactly what you are talking about because my dad calls them that.

rofl...that's what they were called when I was a kid...and how they were labeled in the grocery stores.
