I wonder if that measurement includes the shells or if it's just the "meat." Things could look a lot different.

Anything is fattening if you eat that much of it!
Except raw celery (plus I think there are one or two other foods like that, which have negative calorie counts because of the energy necessary to digest them).

3500cal = 1lb fat
Not necessarily. I'll explain... Let's say for example you gradually increase your daily calories by an average of 400 calories a day for a year, without changing your exercise level. Now after one year, you then increasae your daily consumption by another 600 calories per day for another year. According to the math where 3500cal = 1lb fat, you should of gained over 100 pounds in those two years. Possible, but highly unlikely.
Let's look at this the other way.... If you reduced your daily caloric intake from 3000 to 1000 calories, you would have a 60,000 calorie defecit, thus a 17 pound weight loss in a single month. Possible (although most would be water). Now, if you continue that, it would result in a 200lb weightloss in a year. What if a person began the diet weighing 200lbs, would he or she disappear? Of course not. You need to understand that the relationship between calories and weight gain is non-linear, in which the body's own metabolism regulates on a individual bases, which differs from person to person.

Yeah, dude, are you depressed or something? Two burgers and fries 2 hours after eating 3 pounds of nuts? That's not normal dude, and I'm not flaming you - maybe you should talk to someone about some things...
