I don't like it myself,.. but, it's what these crazy kids want today.

For what a smartphone Is used nowadays then it makes more sense than smaller ones. Calls are the least habitual thing we do on them.
It's you (the original poster) that needs some guidance because calling practical people mentally ill that's not from a sane thinking person.. That or you're just plain dumb or socially stupid

So was the phones from 100 years ago.. How do you distinguish them? By calling what they are..
And sexual guidance has nothing to do with choosing words. Neither mental state..
Trolling does although

Just because it won't fit your hipster skinny jeans pockets you stole from your ex-girlfriend, doesn't mean it doesn't fit into proper man-pockets.

I'm not sorry I don't want to dress like an 80's pop star.

You keep assuming I'm some 80-year-old with health problems that make it difficult to use normal devices. Those of use who don't have cataracts and rheumatism can use the stairs, so to speak. It's more convenient.

i got an iphone 6+ on friday and returned it monday. it's simply too big for my personal usage. ended up getting the normal iphone 6 yesterday and like it a lot more.

and i'm coming from an ip4.

I really wanted the 6+, but it was sold out when I got to the store. But when I saw it in person it looked way too big, so I'm glad I ended up getting the regular iphone 6 instead.

it's not for me but i could see the benefit of a larger phone. easier to type on using something like swiftkey. when you're on the plane, you can watch tv for free on southwest flights on a bigger screen.

it'll be easier to read the gps. when you're blasting back roads on your bmw s1000rr with your anytouch enabled gauntlet gloves it's easier to manipulate the larger screen.

i don't know if you've ever worked with people with bad eyesight but they use large fonts. it's pretty crazy because you'll get emails with fonts in 18+ sizes. if you have a larger screen you can make your text/icons/etc display larger.

if you have the kindle app you can sync between your devices and read your books anywhere (e-ink device, tablet, phone). It's nice to have a larger display.

So the OP is just upset his outdated phone - with an OS that wastes screen space with a static grid of icons, tiny touch targets, and a vomit of pastels UI - has rejected his entire left hand. 😱 😀 And phablet users are the ones who are mentally ill...

This thread is just a cry for help, then. Should we all chip in and buy him a proper, working phone? Even a $50 Lumia 520/521 would be an upgrade.

I can use my right thumb just fine, but with my left at the same angle on the same part of the screen with no other fingers in the way, it doesn't work.

Was my hand cut off and replaced with a cybernetic implant? How is this even possible?

Turns out it's happening with my entire left hand abd not just the thumb. Is this weird at all?

What kind of price do you find acceptable for having the knowledge of the entire human race at your fingertips?

The entire race? 5 cent. And I'm bein generous. The entire race is mostly made up of idiots.

But just the smart ones? Eleventy billion megadollars. That's like, dollars from decades ago when a dollar was wurf somein.

You stop posting like an old man in the front yard shouting at clouds, and I'll stop presuming you are one. I wonder how you get into those jeans with your dicky old hip!

I dunno but there's probably a psychiatric disorder for people that care what size phone someone else uses.

I think he needs an iPhone 6+. Only way he'll ever appreciate a phablet is to jump in feet first.

I made a (crappy) graph. 😀 (x-axis not to scale):

As you can see, 100% of Cronos prefer a 4.5" screen, but Crono is also relatively happy between the 4" to 5" range. Smaller phones entail squinting at a small screen or endless pinching and zooming, and larger phones are unwieldy or cause thumb strain. Major tradeoffs at both ends of the chart, it's the middle where it's a happy medium - for me, at least.
