Is there a legitimate psychiatric disorder attributable to thinking a 6-inch phone is good? Like people who eat rocks or cut off their own limbs?
 
I take it you have never used one. They are excellent for things like SSH or remote desktop, without needing a full or even mini tablet.

But I prefer phones in the 4.5" to 5.0" display size.
 
Only need one phone/tablet instead of two. People want it to be decent sized when they go to use apps or surf the web. Whats the problem?
 
I've heard stories that there once was a time -- long long ago
when people had pagers which actually only displayed numbers who had called and then had to call back those people ...live 😱

First I have heard of the term Phablet, lol!

I really dislike the things. For years the cell phone grew smaller and smaller, and that was what was "cool". Now they are getting bigger and bigger, and it is....cool? So no more making fun of the Motorola brick phone from the '80s? It is big...it is cool now??😕

Larger phones are stupid (aka tablet telephones, aka "phablets"). I use a 3 inch by 5 inch and I feel fine.

Anything else is abnormal and strange.

P.S. I've used just about every display size from 2.5" to 6", and my current phone (Lumia Icon) is 5". I prefer 4.5" or 4.7", but it's such an excellent phone overall and 5" isn't bad at all. Much less risk of finger strain than larger phones at least.

I have the so-called "Motorola Bible" and it has instructions on how I can turn those old bag phones into a two-way radio. I have a bunch and always wanted to try it, but never have.

The fact that you are asking confirms what I suspect: you are trolling.

I'm not angry. I am not even a phablet user, per se. I just find it funny that someone comes into OT with what's obviously an inflammatory argument and then tries to dismiss legitimate discourse as being "angry walls of text".

If you feel you don't need a phablet, that's fine. You may not. But it's ludicrous to assert that people who like them have mental issues, even if you are just being hyperbolic. That's just a cheap way to get a rise, especially considering even Apple is now in what was once considered phablet territory.

I would love to know what phone you use.
