Are peanuts the most delicious legume?

Beans are pretty good.

Sweet tamarinds are pretty delicious, too.
But do like honey roasted peanuts (the kind street vendors sell) and peanut butter, so peanuts do get a win. I don't like salted peanuts, though, or salted nuts in general. Raw is better, otherwise in a mix.

Soybeans and peanuts probably make up half my protein intake.

Do you even lift bro ?

No, it's a serious question. Want to see how much nuts you eat.

Thinking about, peanuts are the most delicious legume, but black beans are the most useful. If I had to pick one, it would be black beans. Black beans are my lunch a couple days a week at work. I drain a can, and mash them in a bowl with jarred chopped garlic. I split that into two containers, and take them to work. If I have cilantro, I add that, and I add hot sauce. Eat it with tortilla chips.

Peanuts have to be salted and roasted. I do not like them boiled. Never understood that craze.

Beans can be good...but when I eat them, they become a source of toxic gas... 😱

Lentils are OK when mixed with other items...such as in a soup, but I don't care for them by themselves.

MOST peas are pretty good...green peas, steamed and mixed into my mashed potatoes and gravy....mmm-mmmm-mmmmmmm!

Soybeans? I can't think of any soy product I use except soy sauce. (and yes, I realize they are often used as an ingredient in foods, but they're not the MAIN ingredient in any food I eat.

I've gotten canned boiled peanuts a few times. I first tried them cause I never heard of that. I like them pretty well, but I don't think it adds much to a plain roasted peanut, and they're messier to eat.

I believe so, especially when roasted.
However, in this part of the country people love them boiled.
Discuss.

Depends on what you are eating them with.

As a snack I'd say yes.

As a side with dinner, I'd say no.

Boiled peanuts were a bit of a rage down here a couple decades ago, I saw one of the stores I stop at on the way home has them and had never even noticed till the nut thread put em in mind, as I've never seen anyone even get any these days.

The fad locally has seemed to have died out long ago.

Someone must eat the things or not sure why they'd keep putting them out, maybe it's like the old convenience store Simpson hotdog joke these days.

I'm a Pea, Baked Bean, Black Bean, Refried Bean, Lima Bean, Butter Bean, Red Kidney Bean, Great Northern Bean (soup beans), Green Bean fan for dinner sides.

Not a legume, so I'm arbitrarily changing your favorite to peas :^P

Ok, i will give in a little...
Peas... OK, only with rice, several other vegetables and meat.
Peanuts, make great satay (saté) saus for the rice dish.
I made it just last week. Makes me salivating just thinking about it. Jumm...

I'd have to agree that peanuts may be the best legume and most versatile too.

Roasted peanuts
Boiled peanuts
Peanut butter
Peanut oil
