Are our passwords secure!?!?

If there is any potential that our passwords could have been recovered we need to know- dont just lock the thread.

dont take any chances, just changes your password question/answer, and change your password

Unless you use the same password for AT & say your online banking for example, you should be ok ... I mean whats the worst somone could do with your password for these forums?

This doesn't help at all.. and mods locking everything doesn't either. I guess everything I have, my WAMU account, BoA, Paypal are now insecure... Great.

Your password should be fine; there was no way for anyone who logged into your account to retrieve it. At worst, they could reset your password to a random string - still keeping your password here secure.

From reading elsewhere it seems that the actual bug was not caused by a hacking attempt, but an attempted fix to an existing issue. So again, your password should be safe.

It will take just a few seconds to change your password. I changed mine. Why not change yours, just in case?

Passwords are stored as a 1-way hash folks, it isn't possible for anyone to know what your password is.
