Are nutrionists covered by health insurance?

Never consulted with one before, but I have a lot of questions about optimizing my diet.

How much do they generally charge and is it covered by insurance?

depending on your insurance maybe you can get your doctor to prescribe or send you to one ...

yes i am making this up hehe

as stated, it can be depending on your healthcare. It can also depend on if and how your doctor may refer it. Talk to your healthcare rep and your general physician.

If you have a PPO, ask the nutritionist if they bill to that company.
If you have an HMO, ask your PCP if they can refer you to one.
