Are my temps too high?

I have an Intel Q6600(G0) on an Asus P5K-E with an Arctic Cooler Freezer 7 Pro using Arctic Silver Ceramic thermal compound at stock voltage. I just bumped my FSB to 333Mhz to bring the CPU to 3.0Ghz. At idle, the first two of the cores are around 45* and the second two at 38*. When I ran Prime95 25.5 for 15 min, my temps sailed up to 72* on the first two cores and 60* on the second two. This sounds hot to me.

I have an Antec P160 with two 120mm fans, so airflow isn't a problem. I have installed many HSF's, so I know the AC Freezer 7 Pro has been installed correctly. Everything I have heard is the G0 stepping can do 3.0Ghz in it's sleep, but mine is running hot.

My stock voltage is 1.264V and I am using Core Temp to monitor my temps and CPU-Z to get my CPU info.

Any suggestions?

What are your ambient (room) temps? If they are ~72F (22C) then it sounds like to me your HSF is not making optimal contact on the IHS hence the temp variance on your 4 cores. Might just be how the cores meet up with the underside of the IHS, or a concave/convex IHS/HSF. Have you tried removing your Freezer 7 to look at grease and how it spread? Maybe I'm preaching to the choir, but before I complete a build I waste some TIM....I do a trial install....spread grease, seat HSF, and then unseat to see what made contact and how well before I ever boot up. The ~72C load temps are not alarming imo, but I would want them lower/or closer to the other 2 cores for longevity.

Those temps sound high. I don't think much of your HSF sent up. Your OC is almost 20 %
I would change to the Thermatake ultra 120 with 2 fans. By the way those 120 fans depends on how much air they are moving. It 's nice if not to noisy but when pushing the CPU you don't have to many options but to raise their volume's.
