Are my temps ok for Athlon XP 2000+?

I am not overclocking, but I just wanted to know what temps I should be getting with this setup.

Athlon XP 2000+
Epox 8k3A
Thermalright AX-7 with 80mm Vantec Stealth fan
Antec SX 1030B with 4 80mm Vantec Stealth fans

Currently I am getting about 40C CPU temp idle. Haven't tested it under load. Thanks for any input.

Mightybao, under load my AX-7 runs around 64C, yes it's kinda high, but it's stable. Keep in mind that the Epox 8k3a reads from the internal diode, so the temps reported will be higher than a reading taken from the MB. I have the 8k3a+, so w/ such a low temp, I'd say you're fine

yup your temps are fine

i have a very similar setup... i have an 8k3a+ with an xp1500+ overclocked to a 170mhz fsb making it an xp2050+

i also use an ax7 and i get an idle temp of 37c and under full load i get to the mid 40's (the ambient room temp is also very cool which helps keep temps down)

40C is fine my temps are at about 50C sometimes it gets up to 60C + if I'm overclocking.
