your plan would be plan b...
And then the reply below it: "B as in blowjob".

This is how it should have been.
As in Plan-B the drug?
If so. I like it!
If not :'(
"If you're worried about the baby weight, maybe you should have used Plan B instead of Plan A?"
Still probably not an appropriate joke to make to a friend, but I think the delivery is a little less awkward.

That would just dumb down the joke for no reason. Thats not how it should have been
He's right, that's the way it should have been. Notice how it sounds incredibly awkward and obvious that way, but it makes sense. You should have abandoned ship at that point. But instead you tried to get clever and no one got it because your punch line doesn't make any damn sense.
Theres a point where too much explanation in a joke just makes it a sentence, not a joke. That is across that line.

A joke still has to make sense grammatically.
"your plan would B" isn't grammatically correct since "B" in this context is a noun and shouldn't follow directly after "would".
If Plan A was to lose the baby weight, you should have went with Plan B.
Are my friends morons or am I?
Not to mention that it's a wordplay joke, where context is everything.
So since its a wordplay joke, you're saying I should take out all of the wordplay? Do you have any idea of what humor is?
How have you people never heard of Plan B. I thought everyone has had at least one scare.
Oh wait...ATOT.
