One of my coworkers is looking for a somewhat sporty car in the low $20,000 range. New or very close to new is what he is looking for. I had suggested a WRX or an Eclipse. I thought a Mustang wouldn't be too bad of a choice either, but he has the dumb "American cars suck" attitude. He seems to have settled on a Civic Si, WRX, or a MiniCooper as his front runners. He asked me what I thought, and I said that the MiniCooper seemed a bit girly to me... he disagreed.

What are your thoughts? MiniCooper, manly or girly?
 
A supercharged mini is fun as hell to drive. With that said I have two aunties and know of 2 other girls that drive Minis. (Non supercharged)
 
I hate tiny cars.. Hondas with fart pipes.. Miata's, convertables, VW Bugs!!!

But.. I'll admit I like the Mini Cooper.. There's the big fast big engine cars.. that people rarely get to use.. and then there's the Mini Cooper.. a sporty little car that you can use in every day traffic to weave in and out.
 
A Cooper, especially the S, fall into the catogory of a moped (or fat chick).

They can be fun to ride, but you don't want your friends to see you.

no they are not as much so as a VW bug.
THey are hella fun (only if its the S) and are great to handle.
I loved both of ours.
