are McD's burgers getting smaller?

it's been awhile since i had a big mac, but i had one this weekend and my buddy had a quarter pounder. they were both tiny.
i'm trusting McD's and assuming the 1/4 pounder did have 1/4 lb worth of burger, but they must've cut back on the bun. same with the big mac.

i remember as a kid, a big mac actually lived up to its name. i would struggle to open my jaw wide enough to even bite into it. now, i can down it in 5 bites and not feel full.

i'm sure my perspective has changed quite a bit since i'm older now, but i remember even a few years (5?) ago, the burgers were bigger. heck, even the boxes were bigger.

Haven't noticed, but I do notice that my local McD squashes the burger till it's about the size of a pancake for some reason.

As a result, I don't eat there any more.

Maybe they've heard your many, many rants about how fat people are evil, and they're trying to help you "fix" this "problem"?

Ehh ... they've always been small.

If you want a big burger, you gotta go to a more expensive place.
This is my favorite ... mmmmm

But, it's not a chain, and it's a good 30+ miles NW of Chicago out in the sticks ... so 99.9% of you will never bask in it's glorious flavor.

I can't really get past the fact that their beef tastes like shit to really judge the size.

white castle barely has any beef in their burgers. :p i just remembered that wendy's commercial in the 90's where 3 old ladies are talking about how little beef was in rival franchises burgers. was a funny commercial at the time.

If the burgers at McDonalds really shrinked at the rate some people seem to believe they'd be the size of tic-tacs by now

The burgers are the same size they have always been.

As a test, go back to your elementary school and try to touch the ceiling. MAN that was so high up!!!! Now, you touch it on your toes w/o jumping.

You grew up.

"Blah blah blah...."

"You know what would be good on this burger? A ham sandwich! Instead of a bun, let's use two donuts. That way we can have it for breakfast. Lookout McGriddle, here comes the Donuthamhamburger!"

Yup. I remember going to McDonald's the first time when I was about 4 years old. I couldn't even finish a regular cheese burger. I know those haven't changed in size.

it was a cheat day.
but for most meals, the burger is the healthiest (or least unhealthy) of the 3 items in a combo meal. unless you're getting water or an unsweetened drink.
