Seems to me conservatives tend to suffer from paranoia. Paranoid about voter fraud, paranoid about liberal media bias, paranoid about the government, paranoid about homosexuals, just lots paranoia from conservatives.
 
Paranoid about voter disenfranchisement, paranoid about Fox News, paranoid about dubya & Karl Rove, paranoid about Christians, just lots of paranoia from liberals.

Paranoid about anyone with money. Paranoid about anyone with a gun. Paranoid about anyone who doesn't believe his wealth should be redistributed. Paranoid about Gitmo. Paranoid about the Koch Brothers. Paranoid about corporations and Citizen's United.

Paranoid in concern over mothers being deported for walking down the sidewalk to buy their children ice cream.

Paranoia is generally accepted to have its roots in Anxiety or Fear... Recent findings seem to establish Conservatives have a higher potential to be affected by Fear... I'd think to reach irrationality might be beyond the current findings' objective but given the Conservative does display a measurable Fear advantage over Liberals your notion might be true.

I also suppose Anxiety lives with Fear... or ought to. ()🙂
 
Bored people generally rural with little connection to society culturally are easily feared by boogeyman. The question is, do schizophrenics tend to gravitate to the tabloid conspiracy "everyone out to get a piece of my action" fantasyworld of the right or does getting whipped up endlessly into rage through selective media stories turn people paranoid schizophrenic to different degrees?

Someone should test conservatives since they are so dysfunctional and many tend to turn violent over the fantasy world they get sucked into.

Personally I think they need to get out some, and of course retract the large stick from their asses. (social conservatives are excused as they will probably get off on it)

And as we can see here, conservatives aren't just paranoid, they are also so ashamed of being such irrational yellow bellied cowards, they get mean and defensive about it. They actually imagine like Pepe la Pew, that their palpable fear doesn't stink to high heavens and provoke revulsion in normal people.
 
We all went through worse than a concentration camp as children and we do not remember. Catastrophe and dread lie in our inner darkness waiting till we relax to sneak up and overwhelm us. We are paranoid because of what has happened in our past. It requires a liberal attitude to even begin to entertain this idea. The greater feelings are repressed the greater the fear. But there is no sense talking sense to people in denial. They just want to punish you for scaring them.

Ok....in the title thread, you mentioned liberal and conservative paranoia. Yet you only mention conservative paranoia examples. is this a serious thread? Or just partisan hackery?

Truth.... Are you the holder of all knowledge... The black hole of Truth is but a singularity... Is that you?
All that remains within is everything that entered - that was not belched out - so almost everything. You contain only what you've consumed that wasn't belched out... As we all do... So why is your consumption compressed to Truth and other's compression produces nothingness?

Moonbeam has consumed Truth and belches it out and yet folks find it distasteful as belch might well be something best left on the table... even if it is Truth.
You asked if Moonbeam has any friends.... I'd say just one... Truth! And, if one needs more than that they surely don't have any.

The thread title is a question, not a statement.

There's potential paranoia on both sides of the political spectrum; the replies so far indicate posters believe conservatives to be more susceptible.

When everyone is out to get you, paranoid is just good thinking

Moonbeam has his own truth, which is no more or less truthy than anyone elses truth. But it belongs only to him.

I am paranoid that most of the people who rant and rave about conservatives couldnt actually define a conservative if you asked them.

Have you seen that video where Mark Dice goes around asking people what year 9/11 happened, and more than half did not know? It's like that. Shit like that makes me paranoid..... paranoid that I'm surrounded by a bunch of people who are so unbelievably frickin stupid that they will do literally anything their "masters" say. Bomb Iraq, Iran, crucify each other en mass, even start eating each others faces off. Such masses of morons are truly capable of anything.

Most people cant even define the terms conservative or liberal, yet they sure do have an opinion about how one is good and one is bad.

That is direct evidence of programming. It is an artifact of media programming and societal manipulation. How can you have an opinion of something you cannot define? Only through propaganda can such a condition arise. This is axiomatic.

I have a bunker loaded with 5 years of rations, enough ordnance to threaten a small country, about 50 pounds of gold for trade after the collapse, and a deal worked out with a few of the neighbors wives to assure the race continues. Sure! It is often seen as 'Belch product'. No one wants getting near the event horizon to find out. They are secure in viewing from a distance proclaiming what they can't see is this or that... How do they know that? They can't know what they don't know especially when they don't know they don't know.

The mind is an interesting bit of wiring... Folks fall into a pool and begin to compose music having no capability before... Everything depends on Wiring and then the environment that wired brain encounters... It produces what it does and that is everything.

Hehehehe perhaps....

After a bazillion years of trying to figure out what makes us tick, I've come to the conclusion [at the moment] that our brains are wired based on genetics and mistakes and what ever the evolutionary process provides... Taking this wired brain and confronting its early environment produces what is contained in the sub-conscious. Behavior is motivated by something... I maintain it is the result of the wiring and the effect the environment has on that particular brain.

Moonster's theory of Truthiness is reasonable based on observable phenomenon. That is part of the wiring process. It must be based on Genetic evolution from Mom and Dad and perhaps Gramps and Grandma too...

So when you chomp on those two pieces of bread consider why you think as you do. Is it how you're wired or is it also a function of your environment too... I say it is. Some on the Right find comfort there and may not have all those boogie men in the Sub-Conscious at all... But for sure some do... Same on the Left...
