Absolutely not! I have a Dell Inspiron 8000 with a GeForce 2 GO and games look just as good on the LCD as they do on a monitor. I understand what people are talking about when they say motion is bad on a LCD but it is really not that bad. I have no complaints whatsoever.

BTW, if you are talking about a Dual Scan LCD then YES. I can't even stand looking at Windows with one of them.

p0tempkin: Dude, lighten up. Him posting a few times isn't going to hurt anybody. If it's really affecting your life that much I think you're hanging out here a bit too much.

MWink: Even games with extremely high framerates (3D-Shooters for ex)? Always wondering, how LCDs could display 100fps with a maximum reaction time of 30ms = 33fps max????? :Q

MWink, maybe at the LCD's native resolution, but try running it at another resolution and see the results.

Of course you are limited to the LCDs native resolution, but with 1024x768 or better 1280x1024 of current displays (17", please), every game should be satisfying...

Damn, I can't wait until I can switch to a digital LCD, when this gaming issue is finally solved once and for all...:D

<< There will be another issue however; cost. >>

LCD prices are falling like crazy lately. You can get a 18.1 inch (about the same as a 19inch CRT) for ~1000$. It's still expensive, but they used to cost 2 to 3 times as much.

I think the ghosting/blurring is a product of the LCD technology, not the analog interface.

The little crystaline structers can only polarize so fast (someone mentioned 30ms) ... if you switch the current on them faster than that then they only get 1/2 way polarized before they go back to unpolarized.

Of course, technologies to remedy that are always around the corner =)
