Are large USB flash pens still excruciatingly slow these days?

I have the Corsair 32GB one that's water proof aluminum. It was never a speed demon and was over $200 when I bought it nearly 2 years ago. It's getting slower with the writes. (took over 4 hours to copy the Office 2007 disk to it!)

Do they have better ones now that are rugged too? A bigger one would be OK but honestly I've never had more than 12-16GB on this one so a 32GB size is fine. I understand if it supports ready boost tech it will be faster. +30MB/S R/W speed would be nice!

I've used SanDisk, Corsair, Kingston, RiData, Verbatim, Lexar and Patriot USB drives.
Out of that group I really like the Patriot Xporter XT line for speed. They are fairly rugged also, since they're encased in a rubber shell.
