are laptops from qvc worthwhile?

depends, as long as the config is good, they are as good as any. Its not like lenovo or dell use high class ASUS mobos, they all cheap out. As long as the warranty is good, you should be good.

I've never seen a good deal for a laptop on QVC, but then again, I don't watch QVC. 😛

Actually, I was at my girlfriend's house the other day and they had QVC on (her mother buys shit from there all the time), and they were selling an overpriced POS laptop. Based on its specs, it seemed to be a laptop from 2009, and they had easy pay set up which amounted to something like $900. I joked that it must be a rerun. Based solely on that, I would not recommend buying a laptop from QVC.

But I would never buy something off the TV again after my first experience, for when I did I apparently signed my new mailing address up for an endless stream of junkmail, and my phone number for a years worth of phone calls from random numbers wanting me to partake in a survey.

No. The prices for the laptops aren't lower than anywhere else...often higher. You might get some crappy bullshit to go along with it, like a case or something.

Dell 17R from QVC: $800

Dell 17R (same specs) from Dell: $660

I've noticed some QVC camera deals are often bundles with some software /accessories you may not otherwise buy. I assume their laptops are the same way.

But if they really have a good price for what you want, then it's OK.

Yes, my mother in law order a Dell from qvc, and it is filled with software that might be junk. It does come with office 365 though.

You really have to do your homework. Sometimes they bundle in crap you will never need like free software that is useless. Other times it can be a one time special value system that actually is a good deal.

Where else really can you get the easy pay option to buy something like that without finance charges.

Now I would only buy a computer from them if it is for Mom/Dad or Grandma or Grandpa. Never for myself.

I laugh when they sell iPads because they throw in all this crap that nobody would ever use. (cheap rubber cover, stands, stylus, car charger) That is the only way they can profit.
