Are kids more screwed up today than they used to be?

If you think they are, here's one potential reason:

My high school had a nursery for kids to drop off their kids while learning. sad.

To your question, I'd have to say yes. But I don't think that children from an unwed marriage have a large role to play in it compared to the Internet, TV, music, and some type of games. BTW, can you just link us to the site?

i know the thread is about unmarried preganent women, but i took it a branch higher, because it falls into the same reasonings

much more screwed up today. im soon to be 14 and i can tell you how screwed up kids are these days. a large majority of kids get all or almost all Fs and Ds on their report cards (and im talkin close to 50% and above of the kids). Not only is this a problem, gangs, drugs, sex, etc. whatever the industry has to offer is infesting 12 year olds. sure, it was never perfect in the past, but i mean, give me a break, im sure it wasnt this corrupt. and im not afraid to use the word corrupt, im a usually 4.0 student, very socially active, and in many sports. little kid "gangs" have become a normancly in school these days. it disgusts me, our district's test scores are all in the low 20s and some even under ten (not kidding at all) compared to our neighboring city's districts which score in the 90s in everything. sure, san jose is a great place, but as for us kids, many of the schools provide such a bad environment. and im also not afraid to say that many of the kids that are all messed up today are kids who have parents that dont care much for them, divorced (common nowadays), have so much work that they dont have time to spend with their kids.

so, my answer is yes.

I think that kids today are exposed to a whole lot more a whole lot younger, this could account for your 'screwed up' kids, although I would question how you determine if a kid is screwed up.

That being said, I am 16 and I consider myself to be extremely messed up, but hey, it makes life a whole lot more interesting
