after years of on and off rehab, my frozen shoulder condition persists (from H1N1 vaccine 2009) although range of motion is alot better than initial diagnosis

so are kettlebell swings bad for frozen shoulders?
cos it looks, imho, like it can help loosen up and increase the rom
what about turkish getups with no/minimal weight (i.e. empty milk jug with sand)?
thanks.

To be honest, true frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) requires gentle, very mindful intervention. Anything excessive will seriously flair it up. In this case, KB swings would be way too aggressive if you were using it to gain ROM.

Also the ROM required for Turkish get-ups is likely more than you would have with a true frozen shoulder (depending at which stage you're in). If you have the range, it's a fine stabilization exercise, but it's not a particularly good mobility gaining exercise.

Are you currently or have you seen a physical therapist in the past about this?
