When in the hell did someone start going around and making their own definition of atheism?

a·the·ist

n.
One who disbelieves or denies the existence of God or gods.

WTF does the above definition have to do with chemical reactions of the belief in good and evil? Stop being an evil asshat and move on! Quit trying to make every damn thing religious. If you can't deal with your own belief system without trying to convince everyone else, then you don't believe in it yourself. It's like walking around with swishing hips, tight jeans and a rainbow colored t-shirt tied in a knot in the middle of your flat, hairless chest and proclaming loudly in a feminine tone with a lisp that you're not gay. You're only fooling yourself at the end of the day.

I saw a video where a male lion kills another male lion, and now the dead male's female partner becomes the living male's partner. The 3 cubs that were born from the dead male all sit very closely together, they are medium-sized cubs. The living male then proceeds to kill all 3 of them to start his own family with the female. That's sort of evil.

No that's survival of the fittest, and that's how it goes in nature.

I believe for something to be evil it has to be self aware and have the ability to feel empathy. Mankind, as far as anyone knows, is the only creature that posses both these qualities. I was joking about cats being evil.

If we are all merely acting on chemical reactions...

Why then?

What's the point of arguing this even? It all ends up being completely meaningless. You're a mass of chemical reactions, we all are - which basically negates intelligence even. You're saying that no one has any intelligence. They merely react.

Bull.

Prove to me that all living creatures are basically the same as the computers that we so love to play with. They do what they are told - just on a really low level. Then ask how many people really deep down feel like they don't actually make choices - just do what the chemicals inside tell them to.

So if you believe this whole thing boils down to chemical reactions, BoberFett, how do you deal with acts perpetrated against you? You certainly can't complain that people are doing anything wrong.

humans are the only creatures possible of evil because we are the only creatures that think in terms of "good" and "evil." if you look at the big picture, there is no good or evil, there only is.

other creatures would have to have a set of morals that they generally agree upon as good or bad before something could do something that constitutes evil

and most animals don't really have forethought so that also makes that kinda difficult
