Are graves forever?

Not even close to "forever"

By the way, in many cities they already have run out of land.

With things like eminent domain (USA) and land expropriation in Canada (in Canada you can't really "own" land like Americans could...but even Americans are subject to eminent domain now) -- with these things, as soon as your little graveyard becomes of value or they want to put in a new road or some business or land developer makes the case, its gone (you get relocated). Not that they even needed eminent domain before to do this (as it has happened for a long time).

It occurs frequently, especially when cities develop and expand more and more and a graveyard is situated on some prime real estate that was never intended to be part of a city.

They dig 'em up and fire em off to a new place.

Not that it matters at that point anyways 😉

I guess saving up for a nice tombstone is actually kind of stupid.

Absolutely. After your immediate kin die no one really cares anyways.

How often have you visited your great grandparents graves? What about your great, great grandparents? 😉 (Most people don't).

im going to have myself stuffed and mounted like a bear. raaaarrrr!!!

or cremated and sit on a hearth in some family members house.

the cementary where we buried my mom actually sells you that plot of land with a deed and title much like when you buy a house...basically you own that samll piece of land.

I really don't agree with the whole casket system, I mean you just sit there preserved for ages.

I think your body should simply be thrown in the ground and have dirt piled on top of it, that way your body and its mass can become one with the earth, and pretty much become recycled.

All those nutrients and stuff your body holds are being taken away from the earth when you sit in a casket.
