So I was watching Private Parts, and yes I'm the only person alive, even including Stern fans, who likes this movie, and I got thinking about the part where he reflects on the stereotype of African-American (dare I say "black"? O NOES teh non-PC!!1!111) men being well-endowed, and I was thinking, if I were black and had that stereotype, would I be upset with it? After all, I'm Italian and have that stereotype to a somewhat lesser degree and don't mind it. Jewish people have a stereotype of having money, another one I wouldn't mind, if it were only true. On the other hand, of course, you have the fact that stereotyping is bad in general, due to the fact that it enforces the notion that things can be correctly assumed about people based on their skin color / religion / creed / nationality, which (when it's bad) is something which is frowned upon. So taking everything into account, do you think that good stereotypes (the ones that put the stereotype-ee in a good light) are a good or bad thing?
