Are gender separated bathrooms unconstitutional?

Why don't I have my own private bathroom wherever I go? I though I had the right to privacy.

Thats pretty much it.

I wouldn't feel comfortable going to the bathroom with women though...

No but in 1979 Jimmy Carter changed that part about guns into bathrooms.

Sort of, but what about bathrooms where both men and women go? Would that be unconstitutional if say, a restaurant decided it didn't want to have two bathrooms? Honestly, I could care less. I don't see why people would care. As long as there are urinals for the guys, and as long as there are doors on the stalls for the girls, who the hell cares?

The thing is, there are double standards on bathrooms. Like somwhere that the women's are always completely full and have a line, if some girl needs to go real bad, she can go to the mens and not a single guy will care. Its not like men would get aroused either, at least not me, they simply don't care.

Where as if a guy tried this? Well use your imagination.

Don't worry, I'm sure the Supreme Court will rule it unconstitutional any second now....any second now...any second now....DAMN!

Hehe. I used the womens bathroom once when the mens was closed, they didn't seem to care. It was all stalls anyways.

LOTS of restaurants have genderless bathrooms, though it's mostly in the eastern part of USA. I read an article about it in R&I, it's a growing fad. Personally, I don't care, everyone has a seperate area to piss in so it's not like it's any different, you don't actually see anyone doing it.

In a womens bathroom? ReallY!?!?!

😛

I can see it now... 'separate but equal is not equal!'

It does pose a legitimate concern for transexuals though.

I don't want to hear hot chicks taking big dumps in the stall next door.

I'll take my bathrooms seperate, thanks.

Exactly. Although I didn't know they had these in the US, ive seen them everywhere else. Any way, all I was trying to say by that is - can't that be looked at as unconstitutional?? You do have the right to privacy, its not like the constitution has to go down the list as to what would be invading your privacy or not.

Basically I'm saying that yes, I think that could be looked at as unconstitutional, so the same applies for the vice versa. Meaning the answer to the OP is yes.

I don't think I want genderless bathrooms. When I worked at Lowe's during college they rotated bathroom cleaning duties out. The female bathrooms were always much much nastier than the male bathrooms.

I don't see how someone can pull the "right to privacy" card because your privacy isn't being violated here.

Dude... sick.

You women need to clean up after yourselves 🙂

I don't know how good of an idea it would be. Imagine at a concert guys had to wait as long as the women (I've seen *really* long lines at concerts for womens bathrooms).

I remember going to a concert at the great western forum and there were long lines at the womens and they stupidly decided to only open ONE LEVEL of bathrooms. Seriously, the guys were just pissing everywhere, wherever you could find a spot to stand at a wall because there was like 10 restrooms for thousands of people. I don't know how genderless restrooms would work in that situation.
