I got some LED automotive bulbs for turn signals and when I put them in, it makes the blinker blink fast. Is this legal?

I'm sensing a pattern to these threads. If you have to ask, it probably isn't legal!

OS That fast blinking has nothing to do with LED blinkers..

The reason that is happening is because in these days when we have electronics everywhere, everything is measured to the tightest tolerances. Anyway yuor LED bulbs are drawing a lot lesser juice than the stock or replacement bulbs do.

So basically by it blinking faster its telling you that one of your bulbs is blown (its supposed to do that by design to let you know a bulb is blown).

The only way you can fix that is by but some added resistance in teh circuit.
Dont ask me how to do it though.

often when someone has a fast blinker its because the left or right side doesn't work. doesn't sound like your case tho.

It's legal I think, but it looks a little weird. You might be able to fix it by replacing the blinker with a different one.

I already knew that but didn't care to write it out. :p I just want to know if it's legal or not.

Well, I'm probably not going to use them, but to say don't use it because it's annoying doesn't float with me. SUVs and giant trucks annoy me and I don't ask other people to stop driving them.

Get yourself some royal blue luxeon stars and a wig-wag flasher. Put the LS's where your running lights are. That will get some attention!

ditch the flasher (little round thing by fuse box) and build your self a little 555 timer/relay setup, probably cost ya 3 bucks and it will work just fine wether you have leds in there or HPS bulbs.
