Yes, eggs are "bad" for you. They are high in saturated fat, and cholesterol. Try Egg Beaters. You get more sodium (unfortunately) but the fat is gone, the cholesterol is removed, and you get all that great protein. They're more expensive, although if you buy in bulk (Sam's Club, for example) they aren't bad at all price-wise. I use Egg Beaters in my recipes and eat 'em for breakfast.
I don't care what the government "recommends". 270mg of cholesterol is almost an entire days' "recommended" cholesterol intake in a
single egg. Think about that the next time you crack one on the frying pan.
