Second class? Welcome to the US since elections started. We're a winner take all nation. You win you get to manipulate committes. You have the tie breaking vote in the Senate. You pick the bureaucrats and set the policies.
You lose you lose. When the Dems had power the Republicans could say the same. If you don't belong to the Republican or Democrat party you never have a voice.

Hmm well in some ways (e.g. gerrymandering), this may be no different or even better. On the local and state level things also seem to be more corrupt.
But certainly partisanship and obstructionism is far far worse in our federal government as time is passing.

I think we ought to, as voters, start being much more attentive to the character and integrity of our choices and not their policies or party. We are sure doing our part to reward people who have no interest in sharing.
