I was wondering if DDR capable motherboards are worth getting. I remember reading an article stating that DDR motherboards are not doing too well and do not have a good future. Is this true?

If DDR boards do have a good future in them, which specific models do you recommend?? Also, what is the difference between ECC PC2100 RAM and NON-ECC PC2100 RAM??

Thank you to anyone that replies.

ECC stands for error correction code. ECC ram is more expensive and slightly slower, but is more reliable. Unless running extrememly sensitive applications, ECC DDR shouldn't be necessary.
