Believe it or not, the majority of Conservatives can enjoy a movie even if it's message is opposing to their own.

Yes, Ashcroft had to have two breasts covered that had been there for over 70 years.. why?? because they gave him perverted thoughts?? because he might get aroused by them? why?

Why would they be? The movie is distributed by 20th Century Fox, subsidiary of News Corp (owned by liberals enemy #1 - Rupert Murdoch). The irony is delicious ;)

I enjoyed the movie. It's very well-done for what it is and it has great looks. However, it's nothing more than Dances With Wolves wrapped in a little alien planet sci-fi. It's far from being profound and it isn't very deep.

Rank and file conservatives are upset by anything they're told to get upset about, by the sources they trust- Rush, Hannity, Palin, etc and so forth. They're addicted to outrage and the smug sense of moral superiority that goes along with it, even if they're getting people killed.

No, that's what liberal sheep have been brainwashed into believing about conservatives.

Obviously he wanted 'dem tittays all to himself. After everyone went home he'd wander out there he'd pull off the sheet and oggle them all by his lonesome.

I'm not so much concerned about a movie bashing America than I am with Obama traveling around bashing America.

I remember certain people saying that Wall-E had a liberal message. This movie seems equally ripe for conservative anger.

The following can be figured out from the trailers. The movie is about an Earth mining corporation trying to displace noble natives with blockhead space marines so that they can get the valuable minerals that the natives live on. James Cameron has admitted there's an environmental angle. The movie also contains lines about "shock and awe" and terrorism. There's a lot about Marine culture (mostly negative) in the movie.

I'm surprised I haven't heard any conservatives complain yet since it seems to contain a clear criticism of the neocon agenda and mentality. (Of course, there aren't only similarities, the alien women don't wear burkas and don't commit terrorist acts, but then again that wasn't the case with Iraq either!)

Probably because it is a movie and they dont care.

Why is any movie that has a pro-environmental message considered 'liberal'??

Maybe the movie has a conservative message? After all conservatives have a much stronger view of private property rights than liberals. It was the liberals on the Supreme Court that allowed the use of eminent domain to take property from private land owners and give it to another private owner in order to make money. Thus conservatives would oppose the taking of the Navi land. etc etc

Wow anytime you even mention conservative no matter the subject it's inevitable that someone comes in and starts bashing Obama, despite it having nothing to do with the thread.

Just as anything to do with liberals ends up with Bush bashing.

Now that we have that settled...

It DOES have something to do with the thread. The OP was surprised conservatives haven't come out against the movie. I'm telling him that I, a conservative, am not concerned much about movies, and more concerned about the constant bashing of America by our President abroad. The later has a much larger impact on America.
