Also, just because they are in the order "carnivora" doesn't mean they have to eat meat to survive (though this is true of cats.) Order carnivora is just a classification meaning they have a number of adaptations which make it possible for them to eat meat. There are many, many ways to formulate a diet for an animal to meet its nutritional needs. Some suitable diets do not require meat even for members of the order carnivora. That said, if you try to feed a cat a vegetarian diet it will be irreversibly terminally ill within six months due to dietary requirements for taurine, arachidonic acid, etc.

School system? Do you really need school to teach you that? I think that this one falls under common sense or "watch some damn TV sometime".

Nowadays, people depend on school to teach them everything, since their parents suck at parenting so bad. Things like not to stick your hand into a fire, don't jump off a parking garage roof, etc.

I am simply amazed that anyone could even be remotely that ignorant enough to think a bear was a canine. Then to ask such an idiotic question on ATOT of all places instead of just using google to save yourself from the ridicule.

I know dogs are canines but I could have sworn that a read somewhere that bears were canines as well and I just thought it was interesting. The thought came back up in my mind to day and I decided to ask ATOT. I could've have googled it(i like yahoo better) but decided to ask ATOT. Deal with it.

Well, i guees bears would fall "close*" to the canine order. But they are not canines.

*As in physiologically somewhat like canines.

So i do see this as a valid question, one of which most people would know the answer though.
