Are bananas poisonous?

Painstakingly insert the finest needle you can through the peel; wiggle it back and forth to slice the banana. The needle marks are easy to hide. Then, when you peel the banana, it appears to be pre-sliced through some miracle.

Oh, that's how it's done!!!! Always wondered about that.

There was a case where a man with a rare genetic disorder that caused him to have very low or broken sodium-potassium pumps (at the cellular level). He ate like 9 bananas or something and died. Similar to injecting potassium straight into a normal person's heart, it stops it due to the extreme electrolyte imbalance. It would be impossible for everyone with normal pumps to eat enough bananas to cause this.
Every newborn gets a shot of Vitamin K when born to boost their blood clotting ability. This b/c we get Vit. K from the bacteria in our GI, and infants haven't developed bacterial colonies in their guts yet. The chemical symbol for potassium is K. There hhave been cases where nurses grabbed the bottle marked K, and stopped infant hearts by giving a shot of concentrated potassium.
