Are Asus Brand Laptops worth getting?

My hp Laptop is too big, since I was too stupid to buy a 17 inch. I won't to get a cheap laptop like the linux one that is 10 inch running at 512 ram.

Any issue or past experience with Asus brand laptops?

I have an Asus and it is awesome. They made the first shipments of Macbooks (but not anymore); now they have a contract with Dell. The W and V series are top notch as is the G series, while the A and F series are more of the "value" line-up, but they are still built pretty well.

Don't mean to get on a soapbox, but...

Almost all lappys/notebooks are made in China these days (except for the batteries - for product safety/liability reasons) and they're all crap!

The Chinese CAN make good stuff, if you pay them enough money (like military goods)!

"On the other hand" if you buy cheap 'Made in China' junk, that's exactly what you'll get!

It ain't like it used to be...

You really can't go by name-brands alone! It isn't "Ford vs Chevy" any more! You gotta go by price!

Generally the more you spend, the better... 😉
