Are any X1900GT owners actually HAPPY with it?

A lot of benchmarks show that the X1800XT beats the X1900GT for some odd reason...

Are any of you guys happy with owning it?

I was pretty baffled as well with benchmarks showing the 1800xt beating the 1900gt

makes me think there may be a driver issue.

but do a google search for recent reviews - i did notice the initial ones were the x1800xt 512 ram version they used. I remember seeing a few recent ones where the used the 1800xt 256 version and I believe the 1900gt had better scores in most if not all the benchmarks

Alright, so you are sorta sad with it for the time being (due to a possible driver issue)...

heh i never got it. I was looking at getting the 1900gt vs the 1800xt and just ended up going with a 1900xt.

althought the prices are pretty good right now on the 1800xt

Oh, lol! Well, if there are any X1900GT owners here, please talk about your card and how it has had an effect on you!

Id rather go with the 7900GT.

I dont see the X1900GT as the card to buy when you have X1800XT/7900GT at the same price offering more performance as well.

the x1800 xt and the 7900 gt destroys the x1900 gt in all games other than oblivion and battlefield 2.
The x1900 gt has 4 pixel pipes disabled. And that contributes to its poor performance in games which rely on brtue horsepower.
Add to that poor drivers,u get the performance thats there in the reviews.
I think catalyst 6.6(whenever it comes out, will fix the driver side of things.)
Can't wait for rv570.
but the x1900 gt can be had for as low as $250.

well if its a game that is very pixel shader heavy the x1900gt will win.

thats about it though. for most current or last gen games the x1800xt is the better buy. but going forward i think the x1900gt might be a better card.

thats why the x1900 gt destroys its immediate competition in battlefield 2 and Oblivion.
If u are planning to play any of those games, that is the card for u.

1800 or 7900 = good performance in all games
1900gt = better performance in shader intensive games, crappy performance in everything else.

I'd take a 1800 or 7900 over 1900gt any day.

The x1900gt is handicapped by having on 12 pipes (tmu/rop) although it has 36 shaders. So in newer shader heavy games it will run faster.

The x1900gt is clocked lower than the x1800xt. If it can be OC'd to 625mhz or higher it would be much more competitive, except in cases where it becomes limited by it's 256mb mem.

Well the X1900 GT becomes a more attractive option in Canada as it can be found for 369 CAN where X1800 XT are still above 500 CAN. However the reference 7900 GT's can be found here for 339 CAN so the X1900 GT isn't that great of a deal.

Hmm...it seems ATI can't get their games straight...

If I understand this correctly...

An X1900GT has more shaders than an X1800XT but four less pixel pipelines...

So I guess one would buy an X1900GT only if they are gonna pay shader intensive games. (Not that I'm saying to buy an X1900GT over a 7900GT :D)

So, is anyone got x1900GT and using it?
Or that is just talk, talk and talk based on some one review or opinion?

Any one is realy happy with x1900GT?

Yeah, this is really just talk. X1900GT owners, please come! Unless there aren't any around...

I guess ATI blew it again, since no one is currently happy with their X1900GT...(let alone have one)

I have a X1900GT. For a price much lower than the 7900GT, the X1900GT can't be beat!

I overclocked to 650mhz core (at 1.375v, lower than the X1900XT's 1.45v stock) and 830mhz (1660mhz) RAM! The RAM is without loosened timings. With loosened timings, it goes past 900mhz easy. Obviously the X1900GT overclocks much better than the X1800XT, making it the better deal :)

I have an X1900GT I got from eBay for $210 shipped. I upgraded from an X800XL and definitely see a big difference. I only play Battlefield 2 but I've only had the card for a short time, and have not yet checked framerates. However, a temperature probe I had inserted in the heatsink was reading 200F while under load! I didnt check the temps with ATI Tool, so hopefully that wasnt correct. I have an Antec P180, w/3 120mm Panaflos on high, so wtf. Granted the ambient temp was probably around 77F. Still, I'd like to be able to flash the bios with the x1900GT AIW bios (is this possible yet?), and at least OC a bit, so what type of aftermarket cooling should I look at for this card?

In retrospect, I kind of wish I had jumped on the X1800XL 512MB, flashed to the XT. I think I can notice BF2 suffering from the 256MB with 6X AA at 1600x1200.

x1800 xl's are rarely found.Only few were ever available on the retail market.
U should be able to flash it with the AIW x1900 bios.Check at techpowerup.com.They have a large collection of bioses.Be sure to back up ur present one.As for cooling solutions,i'd go with the arctic cooling accelero x2.
