Are any of the 280 drivers working for you?

I tried the WHQL one and it stopped responding and successfully recovered once, so I did a clean install back to 275.33 which worked fine before and after.

I heard from a mod on the nvidia forums that the stopped responding and succesfully recovering issue may be due to the 280 drivers rather than an actual hardware fault.

280+ nVidia driver's are sh t as it stands. My card was working fine until the 280's, and since, has been producing the same problems reported by *ANYONE* who owns a fermi product.

Crazy ass green lines in BF3, weird crashes to desktop then red and green lines again. Don't forget the driver failed black screen! I've gone as far as underclocking to no avail. So to all you mother bucks that stated nVidia driver's are grand, I hate you all, ya lyin sons of ...

Maybe it's time to look into a RMA or a new card; your OC'd GTX 460 may have decided to finally give it up with the overvolts when BF3 arrived
-- the 280 drivers are fine with every GTX card that i tested - including SLI - and on 4 CPU platforms

I installed the latest 285.62s which work fine on my MSi 560Ti card ,however the notebook version has issues with my notebook/laptop ie NV Control panel crashes at launch, even after uninstall and reinstall etc, same problem with latest Nvidia beta drivers on my notebook/laptop as well, guess I have to go back to the older version that was working fine.

They work fine off and on, and its not the card because the 270's don't have this issue. BF3 just looks pretty bad on anything pre-280's IMO. Some things are definitely broken.

You might want to look at nvidia's forums.

The driver issues are so bad with the 28X.XX driver releases that they are asking people to send in their cards so they can troubleshoot the issues.

I don't get the TDRs other people do, but flash in firefox has been broken in the past 3 releases.

I am having no issues that I can tell on the 235.38 drivers that I have been using since they came out. I had no issues on the 280.26 drivers either. I am sort of scared to update again since maybe I have just been lucky so far.

i keep up with the latest. BD321 never said if his card is still functional at all any longer. Can he revert to 275 without issues? He didn't say.

Seems it works in 270 series but not 280 series drivers. Is this more of the power management yo yo with drivers that I was seeing back when I had a GTS 450? 280 series drivers might be taxing the card differently (more) than 270 series?
