I am not a member of any organized political party because I am a democrat is an ole Will Rogers quip.

But in terms of the so called tea bag movement, it was created, bought and paid for by Dick Armey and GOP financing.

Now the real question is, has the GOP created a Frankenstein monster that will either run a separate set of candidates against GOP candidates, or force the GOP so far to the right that they become unelectable.

And to a certain sense, Psychiatrists might diagnose tea party activists of suffering from a set free floating anxieties, maybe made inevitable in times lacking of any sense of national unity or direction.

There is nothing really new in the tea party movement, and why does not the American people have every right to chase an ill defined holy grail? And the proper way to find the holy grail is always through chanting the right slogans.

Nope. Although some tea-partiers have legitimate (imho) positions as to the role of government that is simply not addressed by the D's or R's, I distance myself from the Tea Parties as they seem to be mostly controlled/championed/run by the far right.

Massive lie.

No protest that I have had any part in had any connection to any source of money whatsoever, or Fox news, or the GOP or anything at all. It has all been people emailing, calling, and meeting in person to talk about getting to together in greater numbers. We have no busses, we have no campaign signs, etc. Every. Single. Opponent. That I have seen has had government or union funding, uniforms, campaign signs, busses, etc.

I've personally seen union thugs threatening people. They use intimidation to try and stop us from protesting, and then call us racists and such.

They block out all the seating at "town hall meetings" with "reserved" signs. Then a bus with SEIU on the side pulls up, a bunch of people with funny accents (because none of them live in our district) get out that are all wearing the same uniforms, that all are carrying the same fancy signs, and they don't even fill half of the seats provided. But we cannot use the remaining seats, because we aren't the special government chosen few. Old people and those with small children have to stand in the back and often are asked to leave because "there just isn't enough room for all of us".

And then I get home and see on the news that supposedly the GOP bussed ME in there. Right.
