are antec power supply fans 3 pin? or soldered?

wondering cuz i want to use a fan speed controller with my antec sl350 which has bogus thermal fan control 😛 if they are soldered and have to be cut, is there an easy way to attach wires besides crimping? i don't have a crimping tool and the last time i tried pliers to squish the things it was torture🙁

Extend the wires of the fans and bundle them with the main pack of wires leaving the chassis. This allows you to connect them to any power supply you want and use any form of temperature controller as well.

apparently the connectors are the little stubby white plugs like on old soundcards and cdrom drives. well sorta like a slightly larger plug that the video card fans use.

sliced it off and used a crimp connector, works fine🙂 and wow, with the rheostat u can really make those power supply fans go fast! i think the psu keeps the fan at like 50% always more or less. course at 100% its too loud, but i guess on a super hot day its nice to have that ability🙂

my 412x was 2 funny lil pin I just cliped the wires and sliced it to a new L1A panaflo quiet, nice!
