Are angel wings the new tramp stamp?

For the really small angel/bird wing tats I always start wondering what kind of super strong material they would have to be made of and how incredibly fast they would have to flap to produce lift.
 
there is this woman in my neighbourhood that looks to be in her mid 50's. She decided to honour her deceased daughter's memory by having her cremated and her ashes mixed with tattoo ink. So what did she do? She got a nasty looking tramp stamp.

Yup, that's a great way to honour your child's memory.
 
Female friend of mine is sporting an anchor on her bicep.
I still don't like it, but at least she is Doing It Right.

I think it's hot if it's in the right style and the girl is attractive to begin with (not tramp stamps, speaking directly about that girl in the polka-dots).

It adds another layer to a girl, imho. Maybe with a story, or speaks to a certain upbringing or lifestyle... not necessarily counter-culture, though it's common; could be into the arts, a creative-type in some fashion, or is simply spunky.

Which are all things I like. 🙂


But then again, I'm also the type to appreciate tattoos for the art and stories. I personally want more tats, some visible in short-sleeve but still mostly hidden in clothing (like my only one at the moment). I like stand-out art, but will forever refuse basic art that has no meaning (like barbed wire, generic skulls and dragons and shit, though the art itself can be wonderful). Personally, all tattoos I ever will get will be art that means something to me, meaningful enough to still stand true when they are all wrinkled, stretched, and faded. I won't care that they look distorted because skin at that age doesn't look good period. 😛

I won't ever consider tramp stamps, regardless of the specific art, as something that is attractive. But elsewhere, especially with distinctive art, I think it can add to the overall image.
